Snowdrop episode 01 Review

 

Snowdrop is one of the most anticipated Korean drama because of its female lead KIM JI-SOO (JI-SOO from BLACK PINK). Ji-soo is making her acting debut and is paired with Jung Hae-In.

Episode 01 summary

 

 In 1987, when South Korea was governed by a dictatorial government. 

 

 Eun Yeong-ro is the student of the prestigious HOSU Women University Seoul and is living in its dormitory , where  Pi Seung Hee is the warden who is unusually strict with the rules.  Eun Yeong-Ro has a lively, and cheerful personality. She is living with three roommates named
Go Hye-Ryeong, Yeo Jung-Min ,Yoon Seol-Hee . She has good relationship with Kye Boon Ok, a phone operator at the dorm who had to forgo a college education due to her family’s financial circumstances so , who helped her while she was locked out of the dorm because the door was closed in time due to Pi Seung Hee.

  

Im SOO Ho, who grew up in Germany, has a gentle charm but gives off an air of secretiveness. He is living with his roommates and is preparing for his thesis.

 

Go Hye-Ryeong , Eun Yeong -ro, Yoon Seol-Hee planned to go on group blind date but Kye Boon Ok insisted to go with them too , While Im Soo Ho came with his group too .Eun Yeong-ro and Im Soo Ho met during the group blind date and Eun Yeong-ro fell in love with him at first sight. She asked Im Soo- Ho for coffee but he didn't came.

 

 Lee Kang Moo is the grim head of Team 1 of the National Intelligence Service (NIS) and always insists on doing everything by the book. By discrepancy, NIS agent Jang Han Na is impulsive, hot-tempered, and passionate about her job. 

Lee Kang Moo is suspicious of Im Soo Ho being North Korean secret agent. He followed him but couldn't catch him .

 

 6 months later

 

Im Soo Ho came to see his Prof.Han who helped him in his thesis. Professor's car was broken so, Im Soo Ho gave him the lift but they were being chased by Lee Kang Moo and Jang Han Na . Im Soo Ho's car was shot making the driver dead and one of them ran away while Im Soo Ho was shot too and was really injuired but he escaped due to the protest and went to the girls dormitory. He managed to barge  in a room which was Eun Yeong-Ro's . When she came in her room she found someone there lying under the table.

 

Lee Kang Moo came in dormitory too but Pi Seung Hee didn't allow him to check the dormitory.

 

Review:-

It was worth watching this episode.  Kim Ji-soo did an excellent job.  I am pretty sure that no one expected Kim Ji-soo to have such amazing acting skills , As newbie in acting she was astonishing.The cinematography, acting, exchange, and so on are simply great.
